Welcome to over 340 historic churches in the care of The Churches Conservation Trust

This section gives you will help you to explore the Trust’s churches, through descriptions, images, stories and details of opening times and directions.

Please note that during adverse weather, churchyard paths can become obscured and very slippery. Please take extra care when visiting Trust churches under such conditions.

Using our search facility you can discover churches in your local area, find those in areas you may be planning to visit, or search by a particular theme or interest.

The Trust opens its churches as often as it is able and all are welcome to visit! But it is advisable to check individual church opening arrangements before making your trip as some of our churches can shut at short notice, or you may need to contact one of our keyholders to obtain access.
