New short film about All Souls Bolton released

22 June 2009

The Trust recently hosted an open day at All Souls Church in Bolton. The church is due to undergo a transformation into a brand new community centre, and the open day was an opportunity for local residents to experience this magnificent church and to provide their views on the plans for the building before the next stage bid is submitted to the Heritage Lottery Fund at the end of June. The open day attracted over 400 people who enjoyed a mix of entertainment and heritage related activities.

A short film about the day was made by the Media Trust, which is working in partnership with us to produce a number of films that show the revival of this church back into an integral part of this community. We think the film shows the genuine enthusiasm of local people for the project and demonstrates how a redundant church can become a centre of community activity once again.
