St Nicholas, Berwick Bassett

Situated by a farmyard to the north of Avebury and near the Ridgeway, this modest church is essentially 14th century in origin, although the font suggests an earlier structure. Its nave is mediaeval, as is the chancel, though rebuilt later in brick with the old window openings retained. The low tower has a Victorian top. There is an interesting 15th century screen inside the church.
