St Mary, Garthorpe Sal
With its line of churchyard trees, St Mary’s makes a firm statement in the landscape, above and to one side of its small village. It was largely built of local ironstone with a Norman north arcade. The rest is largely 14th century with a tower in Lincolnshire limestone in the Perpendicular style. Inside the church are an Easter sepulchre and an aumbry.
