St John the Baptist, Blawith
Blawith Church lies beside the road running to the foot of Coniston Water, beneath Lakeland fells on each side of the valley. Built in 186263 to the designs of E G Paley, of local Whinstone with a slate roof, it blends well with its surroundings; furnishings and fittings date mostly from the same period. Across the road are the scant remains of an earlier 16th century church.
