How the Trust is run

The Churches Conservation Trust is a registered charity which is governed by a Board of Trustees, chaired by Loyd Grossman OBE FSA. The Board delegates day-to-day management of the charity to the Chief Executive, Crispin Truman and a Senior Management Team.

HRH The Prince of Wales is President of The Churches Conservation Trust.

Hove interiorBecause of the important public funding which the Trust receives, it is formally accountable to the Government for the proper management and use of that money.  The Chief Executive is primarily responsible as an Accounting Officer and through the Finance Director provides regular reports to the Government on the Trust’s work and expenditure.

The Trust’s staff are organised into four main teams:

Conservation and development staff are regionally based, and are usually the first point of contact for anyone wishing to enquire in a particular area or church.
