Join the Service of Remembrance whose focus will be the Memorial situated by the South Porch.

Remembrance Day Service

Among those commemorated there will be Hanson V. Turner VC, originally of the Duke of Wellington's Regiment,  serving with the West Yorkshire Regiment in Burma. In June 1944, he died whilst heroically defending a position against a superior Japanese force. His Victoria Cross can be seen at Bankfield Museum, Halifax.
