Join members of Towton Battlefield Society on their annual visit to St. Oswald's as they bring the world of the Middle Ages to life!

Mediaeval Day

Towton Battlefield Society was founded to commemorate the bloodiest battle ever fought on English soil. On Palm Sunday 1461, the opposing armies of the Yorkists and Lancastrians met in a terrifying encounter which left thousands dead. The group will be educating and entertaining visitors with re-enactors, expert talks and hands on activities.
