'The CCT's Volunteer Development Project has provided a new impetus to address the issue of how to effectively engage young people in the Trust's work, whether as volunteers, project participants, or simply visitors...For an organisation that traditionally had an older age profile, this represented a significant and challenging new market.'

Young volunteers are now an integral and very important part of what the Trust does. Whether it is through residental experience in partnership with Cathedral Camps, one-off initiatives in partnership with CSV, or individual volunteering at specific churches through response to online volunteer recruitment. We have attracted almost 500 young volunteers in the past 3 years.
We have also developed a number of successful film projects, that have been managed and produced by young volunteers, resulting in some brilliant short films being produced: 'From these stones' (filmed at St Lawrence, Evesham, Worcester) and 'Bugles for sad shires' (filmed at Holy Trinity, Privett, Hampshire).
Last year, we welcomed over two million visitors to our churches. If each person donated just £2, this would enable us to keep our churches open, safe and watertight for you and future generations to enjoy.
