Working in partnership

It is important for us that our volunteers feel a real sense that they are working in partnership with CCT, and that the experience is mutually beneficial.

Therefore, if you decide you would like to volunteer for the CCT, we commit to offering you:

  • the chance to serve your community and improve the environment;
  • the opportunity to perform meaningful, necessary tasks;
  • a chance to benefit from the experience of being in a professional environment;
  • training related to your volunteer role;
  • opportunities for personal growth and development;
  • opportunities to form new friendships;
  • a shared stake in the success of the CCT;
  • mutual respect and reciprocal appreciation of motivation, expertise and interests.

In return, we expect our volunteers to commit to:

  • being loyal to the values, goals of the CCT;
  • following our procedures and standards for volunteer work;
  • serving as goodwill ambassadors for the CCT;
  • keeping confidential any information not in the public domain;
  • participating in training programmes;
  • being prompt and reliable in reporting for assignments;
  • observing the same standards of professional practice as your colleagues.

Donate by text

Last year, we welcomed over two million visitors to our churches. If each person donated just £2, this would enable us to keep our churches open, safe and watertight for you and future generations to enjoy.
