The tall, square tower of this marshland church leans dramatically to the west, as if trying to stretch away from the long, low nave below.
Inside, the church is striking for its light and stillness – it has an air of peace in contrast to its wild, marshy setting.
All Saints is sparsely but beautifully furnished with a gorgeous 15th-century carved screen and two pulpits, one Elizabethan and rustic, the other 17th century from Oriel College, Oxford.
The heavy timbered roof demonstrates the good, honest craftsmanship of Medieval builders.

If the access information for this church is listed as 'Keyholder nearby', this means that the key is kept by one of our invaluable volunteer 'keyholders', who usually live just a short walk from the church and can give visitors the key; sometimes this is a nearby hotel, pub, library, art gallery or other venue. You will find instructions explaining how to get the key when you arrive at the church.
There are two steps down into the church.
Due to the historic nature of our buildings, only a very small number of them have heating or running water meaning that they can be cold, and very rarely have toilet facilities. The lighting is usually operated via a 'push button' timer or a motion sensor. We do apologise for any inconvenience the lack of facilities may cause.
This is a beautiful church set in the marshland area of Saltfleetby one of Lincolnshires best in my personal opinion. It can be seen from the B1200 with its very distinctive leaning tower peering out in the background, but once you approach this church in reality its a joy to see. A wonderful entrance and setting of gravel pathway and once inside its peaceful aurra can be absorbed. A bright clean spacious church with wonderful chancel and south chapel and interesting carvings and when the bells ring on special event days its just wonderful. Hopefully with more visitors i am sure will become a very popular place for any visitor travelling far and wide. Events are held in this church every so often so well worth keeping a look out, like i did on the whats on on the CCT website.
