This stunning church was built in the 1760s by Solicitor-General Simon Harcourt as part of the landscaped park for Nuneham Park House.
Built to a classical design, with a gleaming dome and six slender columns, the church is as magnificent as its setting overlooking the Thames.
Inside, All Saints is a monument to wealth and taste, with Italian fittings, magnificent memorial sculptures and busts.
Look for the child among the bluebells – a beautiful and moving life-sized memorial.

If the access information for this church is listed as 'Keyholder nearby', this means that the key is kept by one of our invaluable volunteer 'keyholders', who usually live just a short walk from the church and can give visitors the key; sometimes this is a nearby hotel, pub, library, art gallery or other venue. You will find instructions explaining how to get the key when you arrive at the church.
There is a steep grass path to the church which is unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Due to the historic nature of our buildings, only a very small number of them have heating or running water meaning that they can be cold, and very rarely have toilet facilities. The lighting is usually operated via a 'push button' timer or a motion sensor. We do apologise for any inconvenience the lack of facilities may cause.
Ranks amongst the best as apart from the church there are beautiful grounds and views if you ask for permission to walk round. By the way don't forget to walk on the carpet laid for the coronation of Edward V11and on which he walked.
