50 of our Finest is a pocket book exploring 50 of CCT’s finest churches spread across England.  These buildings have been chosen specifically for their awe inspiring qualities and interest.  The guide takes advantage of easy to use indexes on church period and features of interest to help visitors find what they’re looking for.

Photo by Grace Haughton.Exploring Churches is an exciting resource for teachers and parents of children of all ages and abilities.  It will help to make the most of a visit to a church and churchyard and is full of interesting ideas for activities in the classroom, the home and on visits. 

The book covers most aspects of the curriculum, including sections on Citizenship and other places of worship.  There are photocopiable drawings and resource sheets, including a picture library, timeline and on-site activity sheet.

The Good Graveyard Recording Pack

Cemeteries are like open history books, with tablets of stone forming the pages.  The Good Graveayrd Recording Pack has been put together to help you enjoy churchyards and their monuments. The pack contains everything you need to record and understand a historic churchyard. You don’t have to do all the surveys in this pack, some are more complicated and the choice is up to you which one you do.
