Fundraising ideas

Freefolk Tea PartyIn case you're stuck on how to get people involved in raising funds, we've compiled a list of some top ideas to get you thinking...

  • A sponsored car wash - Get people to make a donation for washing their car.
  • Sponsored walk
  • Sponsored run - run for CCT
  • Hair's to you - See if people will donate money the longer you go without a shave
  • Office fun - You can ask people to donate for fun competitions in the office such as bin basketball, speed typing, longest paperclip chain in 60 seconds etc.
  • Karaoke - Donate entry fees and showcase your vocal talent.
  • The Silencer - Hold a sponsored silence
  • Who's Who? - Hold a guess the baby-photo competition in the office. The winner gets a small amount of the entry donations and you take the rest.
  • Come Dine With Me - Create your own version of the popular TV show with entry donations.
  • Film night - A great night in with your friends with a small donation. Don't forget the snacks!
  • Out with the old - Why not hold a boot sale and get rid of those items you no longer use.
  • Quiz Night - One week away from the pub won't hurt, in the comfort of your own home or local community centre.
  • Bloopers! - Prepare a jar and tell your friends and family that whenever they swear they'll have to donate a penalty to the jar.
  • Dress down day - Rally your colleagues to wear something whacky to work, an odd tie or crazy shirt. Each person donates for the privilege of 'dressing weird'
  • Tasty treats - Hold a bake sale or Midsummer Tea Party
  • Dog day/afternoon - Help out a neighbour and walk their dog in exchange for a donation
  • So You Think You've Got Talent - Gather up your friends who boast about how talented they are, and get them to prove it. Remember to get those donation entries.
  • Lazy lunches - Offer to do lunch for a week in return for a donation from a colleague.
  • I Quit! - Give something up for a week (or however long you choose) and ask for sponsorship.
  • Buckets of change - Don't forget the tried and tested method of taking a bucket or jar around, together with a dashing smile and some charm!

It's your event so you can decide on an entry donation, sponsorship from friends or family, or just simply ask for donations.
