50 guests and members of the press enjoyed a very successful launch of the fundraising appeal for St Nicholas' Chapel, King's Lynn on Friday 27 January.
With speeches from Loyd Grossman, Cllr Colin Sampson and Sir Jeremy Bagg the event highlighted the huge support out there for St Nicholas' Chapel. Everyone was pleased to support this iconic building in the centre of King's Lynn.
We are working with The Friends of St Nicholas Chapel to raise a minimum of £210, 000 in order to secure a grant of £1.5 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Unless the £210,000 is raised, we will not be granted the HLF grant. Together, the money raised will enable us to:
Guests had an opportunity to explore the chapel in all its glory before coming in from the cold for drinks and canapés at The Duke's Head Hotel.
At the event almost £2,000 of donations were made and more was pledged.
