CCT Partners with Exciting "All The Bells" Project

19 January 2012

We have signed up as a partner of 'All the Bells' and are offering an opportunity for bellringers across the country to ring CCT bells on 27 July 2012 to mark the opening of the Olympics

The piece has been specially commisioned for the London 2012 Festival and looks set to be a groundbreaking event.

Officially titled, "No. 1197: All the bells in a country rung as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes, it is the invention of Turner Prize winning artist Martin Creed.

Bell ringers across the UK, including those active in CCT churches, will gather at 8am on the morning of the Olympics opening ceremony to welcome the games to London. It isn't only church bells that are being used though; anyone can take part, ringing anything from a cowbell to the front doorbell.

Why not think about bringing your bells to a CCT church to ring!

Check back here soon for further updates on the CCT's involvement in this very special project.

Last year, we welcomed over two million visitors to our churches. If each person donated just £2, this would enable us to keep our churches open, safe and watertight for you and future generations to enjoy.
