Limewashing Craft Skills workshop at St Mary’s Church, Pitstone

2 August 2011

St Mary's Church, Pitstone will be hosting free workshops from 10 - 14 October

Limewashing Craft Skills workshop at St Mary’s Church, Pitstone

Join us at St Mary’s Church to help us to limewash the nave. You will be given training on the traditional use of limewashing and will be given the opportunity to put your skills into practice.

The workshop runs for a week but you can book a single day or more than one, subject to availability. This week is aimed primarily at students but we welcome people of all ages who are fit and able to climb ladders/scaffolding. The church has limited facilities so you'll need to provide your own lunch and additional refreshments.

Last year, we welcomed over two million visitors to our churches. If each person donated just £2, this would enable us to keep our churches open, safe and watertight for you and future generations to enjoy.
