Judita Krlickova

Volunteer for the conservation projects officer assisting on interpretation projects

Head shot of Judita KrlickaAfter finishing my Masters in Medieval Wallpaintings at Commenius University in Slovakia I moved to the UK to gain further education and experience in the heritage sector. By chance, I came across the Churches Conservation Trust and was lucky enough to become a part of it.

So far, since i started in June, I have assisted the conservation projects officer on the exciting Wallpaintings Interpretation project by helping proof read and edit some of the text, uploading and laying out the images for the History and Conservation sections of the project and obtaining copyright for all external images we have used. I will next be assisting on the upcoming Heraldry Interpretation project.

By volunteering for the Trust, I have experienced day to day office work and have received training relevant to the projects i'm working on. It has given me an interesting opportunity to see the workflow of the heritage sector in another country more closely and I have been able to deepen my knowledge of English history and Medieval art.
