Completing a seven year project at St Peter's Church, Sandwich

In 2006 we started a seven year project to repair and redecorate St Peter's Church.

In 2010, we completed the first 4 years of the programme of works at a cost of over £250,000.

What has happened so far

 

What we need to do

Over the next 3 years, we would like to:

• Complete internal masonry repairs at high & low level
• Re-plaster and limewash internal walls
• Replace antiquated electrical wiring & intakes
• Introduce heating [provide local infra-red heaters]
• Install mobility WC and tea-point/kitchenette
• Provide ramped access throughout the church and install a welcome desk and interpretation centre

For this, we need to raise approximately £190,000, and we and the Friends of St Peter’s need your help to succeed.
