Bright lights & a plush privett

Holy Trinity Church, Privett, aims to be an East Hampshire arts venue

Interior of Holy Trinity Church, PrivettThis large 19th-century church, designed by Blomfield in the Early English Gothic style, has seen an increased use over the past few years by the local community.

All are keen to take advantage of the church; however, the antiquated lighting and electrics limits the number and types of activities that can happen.

This year we are installing a new lighting scheme into Holy Trinity Church and upgrading the electrical supply. The project aims to introduce a more adaptable light scheme that will have the versatility to enhance all future events in the church.

This marks the first stage of development; the upgrading of the electrical supply will allow for future adaptations, such as heating and toilets, which we hope to be able to invest in during the coming years.

The new lighting and electrical upgrade is due for completion in April 2011. Watch this space for updates.

Last year, we welcomed over two million visitors to our churches. If each person donated just £2, this would enable us to keep our churches open, safe and watertight for you and future generations to enjoy.
