The conservation team, our contractors and expert consultants work very hard to maintain high standards of conservation across all our churches.
We have been lucky enough to win awards for some of our projects and we are proud to share them here with you.

The Churches Conservation Trust is proud to have contributed through the Heritage Craft Skills partnership run by Patrick Clancy from the Leeds College of Building and Dawn Lancaster of The Churches Conservation Trust in keeping heritage craft skills on the agenda at the Leeds College of Building. The heritage craft skills partnership enabled Patrick to expose his students to the different techniques, materials and crafts involved in conservation work. Students had the opportunity to try their hand at different crafts, visit listed buildings and gain a holistic understanding of what it took to create these buildings, and the skills needed in conserving them for the future. A feather in Patrick’s cap is that one of his students Tibby Chodha won BBC Young Carpenter of the Year 2011 – an outstanding achievement!
Patrick Clancy is being awarded the City & Guilds Medal for Excellence for outstanding performance in Carpentry & Joinery Advanced Craft on the 15th March. We wish him a wonderful and well deserved day.
Upon completion of this project, we won three awards for conservation, architecture and re-use and were commended for our community work.
